Another year is gone and our journey in on behalf of DS Lane Navadoy Seva Niketan feel immense pleasure to present report 2025-26 for enabling you to understand our output in terms of our inputs. I welcome suggestion from you for enriching multi facet activities in the ensuing years. New economic polities have hardly done good to the poor. The rich has become more rich and in the name of globalization varied vices have encroached the healthy flow of human living. Urbanization is spreading it’s wing rapidly. Migrations of Rural people in the towns and cities have increased. The rural economy and cohesiveness is at stake. The steady influx of rural people in the urban setup is giving birth to innumerable unauthorized settlement and ironically there is no check of this undesirably human settlement. As we work in slum areas and also in unauthorized settlement, we can perceive a lot than others that how people live inmost dilapidated habitats with disease, squalor, unemployment which persisted before and continue to prevail.
We have been working in both urban , rural and also slum of Saranga, Beltala, Shibpur , Uluberia, Shyampur – I & II, Bugnun and Bally Block of Howrah District , and another one District of south 24 parganas. Continue vocational training programme for women, education programme for poor student and brickfield children’s, health & awarness programme for brick field labour and children’s and motivating especially women in income generating activities, social development and protest with due solidity against violence and torture, ensuring women’s rights as provided under human rights and Indian constitution. I must mention, here that we have been gaining more and more experience through our different training and exposure and are trying to create grass root level peoples committee in legalized form so that they can ensure their existence more meaningfully.
My penning of this column do not forget to express development aspiration of our human resources at all levels who shared the agony as well as ecstasies for their commitment to develop a self reliant. Society in. the barriers of constrains as well as hardships.
I appeal all of you and your friends to go trough the document to give us a feed back in real sense. We learn and de learn and that is the stake.
